Well, approved not quite all systems.

There’s still the auxiliary battery, the amplifier, the mixer, the speaker system, two resonators, the interior headliner needs replacing, the sun canopies haven’t been sewn, and the whole thing has to be wired and lit for the playa.

But when you bang on the thing it rings.And that’s what we set out to do in time for Maker Faire …Kristina scraped off all the paint-fog that landed on the windshield during various ill-advised high-wind paint sessions, and duct-taped the hideous internal headliner blankets to the roof until we can get the full masonite headliner properly reinstalled …


We reinstalled the door panels and hardware after the gong project, and we masked and painted the wheels, first with coats of black primer, then with high-gloss lacquer ….
